Michele Bubacco allows himself to be influenced by both the past and the present in his works, and "exploits" in his art the impressions of the outside world, mixed with his subconscious, to create something expressive, unexpected. His pictures build up to a score and the composition is constantly fragmented and reassembled.
He puts parts that were originally separated from each other closer together. This deconstruction process opened up unexpected rhythmic possibilities and improvisational associations for him. The pictorial process alternates between the use of brushes and the direct application of fingers. This approach allows him to focus his attention on structure and form or on the conscious, thus finding a balance between figurative shots and erasure. Each fragment of the sequence was conceived as a palette for the following fragments. One thing leads to another: the score is execution itself. Figurative clues serve as guide dogs that lead him into the role of the observer.
